Expanded Public Outreach

In an effort to constantly improve our public outreach we have expanded our efforts for the Rhode Island Reliability Project to include:

  • Our earliest and most comprehensive outreach effort ever
  • A Background Document (pdf). This document contains a summary of the project written for a non-technical audience.
  • Google Earth route simulations that allow us to show residents, businesses, community leaders and state officials their property or area of interest in relation to the project.
  • A budget to address unauthorized ROW access
  • A contact database to create detailed tracking for all contact with those interested in the project

Upcoming Public Outreach

Other opportunities for public information and input include:

  • Email lists and notifications for project events and construction updates
  • Local public hearings
  • Energy Facilities Board Hearings
